Our Restoration Journey
Welcome to our journey of restoring a piece of family history. My husband and I are lovingly bringing new life to his Gram’s 1900s farmhouse—a place filled with stories, memories, and generations of love. While it’s no longer a working farm, the land once held horses when his mother and her siblings were young, and today it still carries that same sense of home and connection.
Together we’re raising five wonderful children, ranging from our oldest, who is proudly serving in the military, to our youngest, who’s just 10. This farmhouse is being shaped not just for us, but for them and the generations to come. Our dream is to make this our retirement home, a place to welcome grandchildren, gather with loved ones, and keep the heart of Gram’s legacy alive.
Over the next several years—seven at most—we’ll be carefully restoring every corner of the home. From pulling up old carpets to reveal hardwood floors, removing wallpaper, and giving the kitchen new life, to refreshing the paint, landscaping, and more—we are pouring both sweat and heart into every detail. With each project, we keep Gram in mind, honoring her memory while blending the old with the new.
This isn’t just a renovation—it’s a love story between past, present, and future. A journey of family, hard work, and the belief that a home is more than walls and floors; it’s where stories live and grow.
